OrderPeek Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between Sudarshan Hosalli (sole proprietor), Kusnoor, GB Jnanaganga, Kalaburagi Reshmi College, Kalaburagi, Karnataka 585106, India ("OrderPeek", "we", "us") and the business or person using OrderPeek ("you", the "Merchant"). They cover the OrderPeek Shopify app (which runs inside your Shopify admin), the optional OrderPeek Chrome extension for Gmail, and the small online service that supports them (together, the "Service").
By installing the app or the extension, connecting a Shopify store or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you accept them for a business, you confirm that you can bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What OrderPeek does
OrderPeek shows information about a customer's Shopify orders (status, items, tracking and delivery information, customer notes and tags) inside your Shopify admin, as a list of recent orders that look late or stuck and a search by email, name or order number. With the optional Chrome extension it also shows the same information in a side panel inside Gmail when you open that customer's email. It lets you copy or insert reply templates. It is read-only: it cannot create, change, refund, cancel or delete anything in your store.
How data flows is described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement ("DPA"), which are part of these terms. In short: customer and order data goes from Shopify directly to your browser and is not stored on or sent through our servers.
3. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18, have the authority to access the Shopify store you connect, and use the Service for business purposes.
- You connect a store through Shopify's own sign-in. You are responsible for the people who use your browser profile, Gmail account and Shopify account, and for keeping them secure (including strong passwords and two-step verification).
- If you use the Gmail add-on, its connection tokens are stored in your browser. Anyone with access to your unlocked browser profile can use OrderPeek as you. Disconnect a store in OrderPeek settings, or uninstall the app in Shopify, to remove access.
4. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Service for your own business while these terms are in force. You may not: copy, sell, sublicense or host the Service for others; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; remove notices; or use it to build a competing product.
OrderPeek includes open-source components (for example the InboxSDK library) that are licensed under their own terms.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Your customers' data. You are the controller of your customers' personal data. You must have a lawful basis for processing it, and your own privacy notices must cover how you use order data to answer support requests.
- Lawful use. You will use the Service only to look up and answer customers' own enquiries and for related legitimate support work. You will not use it to harass, profile or surveil people, to scrape or bulk-export data, or to break any law, the Shopify Partner Program Agreement, the Shopify API terms, the Chrome Web Store terms or Google's terms.
- Your messages. What you send to customers, including text from templates, is yours. Check templates and the information inserted into them before you send.
- Accuracy of your store settings, including which addresses you list for each store.
6. Third-party services
The Service depends on services we do not control:
- Shopify (order data, sign-in, billing). Your use of Shopify is governed by your agreement with Shopify.
- Google Gmail / Chrome. OrderPeek runs inside your browser and Gmail. Google may change Gmail in ways that temporarily break features.
- InboxSDK (a library that lets OrderPeek display in Gmail). It sends its own usage events and error reports to its operator. See the Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare (hosts our small service).
We are not responsible for these services, for outages or changes in them, or for data they handle under their own terms.
7. Information shown is informational only
Delivery status, estimated delivery dates and the "Possibly late" flag are based on data supplied by Shopify and carriers and on thresholds you can change. They may be missing, delayed, wrong or not available for some carriers. They are a convenience, not a guarantee, and you should verify important facts in Shopify or with the carrier before telling a customer something. We are not liable for decisions you make based on them.
8. Plans, fees and billing
- Free plan. Limits apply (currently 3 reply templates, and for the Gmail add-on 1 store and 30 qualifying lookups per month; the admin page has no lookup limit). Limits are shown in the app and listing and we may change them with notice. The Gmail add-on's usage is counted in your browser.
- Paid plan ("Pro"). Pro is billed through Shopify (Shopify App Pricing) as a recurring app subscription at the price and interval shown in the Shopify approval screen and listing, in the currency shown there, plus any taxes Shopify applies. Any free trial is as shown at approval. Shopify handles payment, invoices and receipts; we never see your payment details.
- Cancellation. You can cancel the subscription at any time through your Shopify admin or by uninstalling the app. Cancellation takes effect as Shopify's billing rules provide. Charges already billed are not refundable except where required by law or by Shopify's rules.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. Shopify will ask you to approve a changed charge, and you can cancel instead.
- Non-payment. If a charge fails or the subscription ends, your store returns to the Free plan limits.
9. Support and availability
We provide the Service "as available" and aim to respond to support emails at sudarshanhosalli90956@gmail.com within 3 business days. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may suspend or change features for maintenance, security or legal reasons. We may release updates automatically through the Chrome Web Store.
10. Privacy, data protection and security
- Our Privacy Policy explains what is collected and why.
- Our DPA applies to the extent we process personal data on your behalf, and forms part of these terms.
- We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Service. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your data, we will tell you as described in the DPA.
- Do not attempt to probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission. To report a vulnerability, email sudarshanhosalli90956@gmail.com.
11. Intellectual property and feedback
We and our licensors own the Service, its name, logo and code. You own your store data and your templates. If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them without obligation to you.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us through Shopify for the Service in the 12 months before the event and (b) USD 50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnity
You will defend and compensate us against third-party claims, and reasonable costs of them, arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Service or of customer data.
14. Term and termination
- These terms start when you first use the Service and continue until ended.
- You can stop at any time by disconnecting your store, removing the extension and uninstalling the app in Shopify.
- We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law or by Shopify or Google, or if continuing would put the Service or others at risk. We will give notice where reasonable.
- When the Service ends: the licence ends; tokens stored in your browser stop working once the Shopify app is uninstalled; we hold no customer or order data to return or delete (see the DPA). Sections that by nature should survive (for example 11 to 15) do.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Kalaburagi (formerly Gulbarga), Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek urgent relief anywhere.
16. General
- Changes. We may update these terms. We will post the new version, change the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the extension or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the Service.
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy and the DPA are the whole agreement about the Service and replace earlier understandings.
- Severability and waiver. If a part is unenforceable the rest continues. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them in a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including outages of Shopify, Google or Cloudflare.
- Notices. We may notify you in the Service, on our website or at the email associated with your store. Notices to us: sudarshanhosalli90956@gmail.com, Kusnoor, GB Jnanaganga, Kalaburagi Reshmi College, Kalaburagi, Karnataka 585106, India.
